The Bull Inn is over 500 years old and simply oozes with character. In its rambling aspect, its quaint gables and dormer windows, its picturesque courtyard and stagecoach archway, it is reminiscent of the past. The Bull Inn is a fascinating building, rich in history. The 16th century coaching inn of The Bull Inn was an important staging post on the route from Norwich to London. Like the Maypole, most famous of the inns of Dickens, the building can boast its legend of Queen Elizabeth I – a legend which narrates how the Virgin monarch slept there one night in the days when her Earl of Leicester romance was in full flower.

We absolutely love our 500 year old coaching inn and we have worked painstakingly to convert the run down and unloved building into the award winning inn you see before you today! We have 15 individually designed bedrooms all of which not only embrace the historic features of our amazing piece of English history but also ensure maximum comfort for our overseas guests while you enjoy your stay with us!
WHO WILL BE HERE TO LOOK AFTER YOU
We LOVE talking to guests who want to know more about the area and of course the history of the Inn and also the local area. We are never happier than when we are chatting to you over a pint of your new favourite English ale in the pub to make sure that you use your “free time” effectively whilst you are visiting and that you get to see the real sights of England along with the classic sights such as Buckingham Palace, Stonehenge and Windsor Castle.
